Mon Apr 2 (Ererat) :: A Few Hints

There have been increasing numbers of people traveling to the borderlands to aid us in our fight. This seems to come in response to the seemingly overwhelming numbers of trollocs running around these days. I am going to give a couple of pointers on fighting the dark.

First off, come prepared. Always have a couple of lanterns with you, 2 or 3 meals, and at least one full skin before you leave Fal Dara to head gap/winding/blight. It is really annoying to have people whining about lights/food/water when we are about to get hit by a group of fuzzies in the gap. I always carry two full skins around, i never know when i am going to be running down to TV all the way from blight.

Second, horses. Horses are a mans best friend. People love to log on in FD, grab a draft and spam up to gap, only to have it hagg on them. Learn the value of an eqed warhorse. Horse eq and warhorses are easy to get, and they have saved my ass so many times. Use them.

This leads me into my next point: Running away. Fleeing is the most overlooked skill in pk, But in my opinion the most important. You have all heard people saying "know the zones" and "know when to run" but do you know where to go? FD is sometimes not the answer, and with commy moved down the FD road it presents new problems.

Two options when 2n of FD is blocked. Run to 2n 2e and open the gate and go through old camp to burnt wagons and then on to FD road, or go through gap the the spine, and run down to caemy.

Finally, learn the zone west of Dog gate. This zone is a great help to humans, because now we can bring reinforcments up from TV without having to bring them past dusty. Learn the zone and where it meets the FD road.

There you go, a few ideas on how to die less.
