Practice Guide

Absorbtion:

ABS, you want to concentrate mostly on your weapon and bash, but also you need a few other basic skills to compliment this:

    Weapon 95%
    Bash 95%
    Ride 85% (Level 6)
    Notice 85%
    Track 85%
    Survival 15% (Level 1)
    Search 15%
Extra practices: They can be used to do a few things including max out your weapon and bash; getting more survival, search, and ride; or getting a little rescue and other skills. Warrior: Consider practicing a secondary weapon to about 90%. It's wise to practice in an area which has already gotten residue practices. Rangers: Consider improve the above ranger skills and getting others skills like wisdom lore, camo, and pick.

Dodge:

Dodgers want to try to max out dodge, and get a sufficent amount of weapon and shield parry (if needed).

    Dodge 95%
    Weapon 90%
    Shield Parry 90%
    Ride 45% (Level 3)
    Notice 85%
    Track 85%
    Survival 15% (Level 1)
    Search 15%
Extra Practices: If you have a weapon which can charge or bash, then you should get around 90% in that area (remember you need ride 6 for these). If not, consider getting kick to 90%, but that is optional. After that, you would do well improving ride to level 4-5 (if you have not already), getting one's dodge to 99 and weapon/shield to 95% or more. Just as an ABSer, more search and survival is welcome, but your practices will probably be much tighter getting the basics.

Combo:

Combo places more emphasis on offense, yet defense should be practiced to a decent amount. Dodge is less important, and should be about equal to other defense skills.

    Weapon 90%
    Dodge 90%
    Shield Parry 90%
    Ride 45% (Level 3)
    Notice 85%
    Track 85%
    Survival 15% (Level 1)
    Search 15%
Extra Practices: Same with a dodger, if you have a weapon which can charge or bash, then you should get around 90% in that area (remember, you need level 6 ride for these). If not, consider getting kick to 90%, but that is optional. After that, you would do well improving your ride to level 4-5 (if you have not already, getting one's weapon to 99 and dodge/shield to 95% or more. Just as an ABSer, more search and survival is welcome, but your practices will probably be much tighter getting the basics.

Backstab:

Practices in Backstab are much more geared towards improving backstab, rather then the melee skills. However, when practicing, it's a good idea to get your defensive skills and necessities to a certain amount before concentrating on backstab.

    Hide 95%
    Backstab 95%
    Dodge 95%
    Weapon 90%
    Sneak 90%
    Shield Parry 85%
    Attack 85%
    Ride 45% (Level 3)
    Notice 85%
    Survival 15% (Level 1)
    Search 15%
Extra Practices: With extra practices, depending on how many you have, you can consider getting shield parry up to 90%, and then improving upon hide, backstab, and your weapon. These 3 are directly involved in the success of backstab. Dodge is also important if you are going to go full defense. Most other skills do not need to be improved much, and feel free to get less attack if you want. Your pracs should be tight and not allow much more then the basics. Do not be afraid to put 99% in hide, backstab, dodge, and weapon. Rangers: Get your backstab skills to 90% before improving upon them, and do not practice attack. Also, you can consider getting track, and survival 7 instead of having high pracs in stab. However, you will need high level for this.

Channeler:

Practices are extremely tight for a channeler. Mainly you want to have the basic needs like ride, and notice, and then concentrate as much of your practices as you can into your defensive abilities.

    Dodge 90%
    Weapon 85%
    Shield Parry 85%
    Ride 45% (Level 3)
    Notice 85%
    Survival 15% (Level 1)
    Search 15%
Extra practices: Your probably going to want to put all your extra practices into improving your defensive abilities. Channelers are already at a disadvantage in melee, so you want to reduce as much as possible. However, if you do use a 2-handed weapon, you might gain the option of getting small things like track 50%.
