Sun Apr 8 (Kirtha) :: The Dark One Went Down to Andor
The Dark One went down to Andor, he was looking for a soul to steal
He was in a bind 'cause he was way behind and he was willin' to make a deal.
When he came across this young man swinging on a mattock and swinging it hard
And the Dark One jumped up on an ancient tree stump and said, "Boy let me tell ya what
"I guess you didn't know it, but I'm a mattock user, too
"And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.
"Now you swing pretty good mattock boy, but give the Dark One his due, I'll bet a mattock of gold
against your soul 'cause I think I'm better than you."
The boy said, "My names Kirtha, and it might be a sin,
"But I'll take your bet - your gonna regret 'cause I'm the best that's ever been!"
Kirtha wield your mattock an' swing that sucker hard
'Cause Lightsbane's broke loose in Andor an' the Dark One deals the cards.
And if you win you'll get this shiney mattock made of gold, but if you lose the Dark One gets your soul!
The Dark One took up his club, and he said "I'll start this show,"
And fire flew from his finger tips as he flourished his evil bludgeon.
And he pulled the mattock across the ground and it made an evil hiss,
Then a fist of trollocs joined in and it sounded somthing like this:
[music]
When the Dark One finished Kirtha said, "Well, you're pretty good Dark One,
"But set right in that chair right there and let me show you how it's done!"
Carai an Ellisande!, For the Rose of the Sun! Dark One's in the House of Ba'alzamon,
The Light will never break and you should know, Manetheren will never fall!
The Dark One bowed his head, 'cause he knew that he'd been beat,
And he laid that golden mattock on the ground at Kirtha's feet.
Kirtha said, "Shai'tan just come on back if you ever want to try again,
"I done told you once you son of a gun I'm the best there's ever been!
And he played
Carai an Ellisande!, For the Rose of the Sun! Dark One's in the House of Ba'alzamon,
The Light will never break and you should know, Manetheren will never fall!
Kirtha Salo'kin
